Content Production & Editing
MX & Imagination
I produce and edit several types of digital content for clients. I ensure all content aligns with a client’s strategy, follows desired style guidelines, matches each client’s specific tone and is delivered on time.
Video
I act as a producer on special projects, communicating and collaborating across teams to keep everyone aligned on each project’s goals and deadlines.
I’ve served as a producer for several video projects. I communicate with the client team to determine the video series’ goals, the recording process and deadlines. I then coordinate with guests, reporters and client team members to schedule and record remote interviews, sharing video and audio best practices with guests. I also ensure video files are delivered to clients on time.
Examples of producing and scripting video series:
Finding the Right Ways of Working
How Young People are Changing the World of Projects
Examples of producing video series:
Cat Huang Uses Architecture to Solve Societal Problems
How Yoichi Ochiai is Changing Worlds with Futuristic Impact
Online Articles
I edit digital articles and blog posts for multiple clients—including financial services organizations and professional associations—easily switching between each client’s voice and style guide rules.
I’ve also written online articles. I connect with sources, conduct conversational interviews, and then craft compelling stories that grab the audience’s attention.
Examples include:
PMI 2023 Future 50: Antoine-Marie Préaut
PMI 2023 Future 50: Nuha Hashem
PMI 2022 Most Influential Projects: ABBA Voyage
Case Studies
I collaborate with client content leads to determine case study topics, and then I locate and reach out to potential sources. After confirming a source’s participation, I assign case studies to reporters and provide them with detailed storylines to guide each piece. I then edit case studies with fellow content leads, ensuring they meet editorial standards.
Examples include:
Developing a Program to Share Vaccine Technology Worldwide
KSHB-TV
As a senior digital content producer and digital content producer, I created and edited content for breaking, day-to-day and feature news across KSHB-TV’s digital platforms and social media channels.
Digital Content Production & Editing
I wrote stories for KSHB.com, and I produced and edited reporters’ digital stories. I collaborated with reporters to include additional elements online, such as photos or infographics, to create engaging digital stories.
Examples include:
MO Gov. Greitens to resign June 1 amid allegations of wrongdoing
I led digital coverage of the former Missouri governor's resignation. I wrote and updated the web story as new information came in, coordinated social media posts and push alerts, and helped plan what additional angles the team needed to cover as the story developed.
7 questions with Missouri Gov. Mike Parson
I created and executed a progressive story plan to showcase KSHB-TV’s first sit-down interview with the new governor of Missouri. I created multiple videos for social media channels to showcase the two web stories, one more lighthearted and one dealing with more serious issues, and shared them multiple times throughout the day.
KCPD badges are steeped in history, copyrighted
I worked with one of the station’s anchors to create a photo gallery and a digital exclusive video to give the audience a deeper look at specific historical badges in the Kansas City Police Department's collection.
Digital Exclusive Videos
I created videos for KSHB.com and KSHB-TV’s social media platforms to highlight Kansas City's history. I wrote video scripts and digital stories from original reporting and research, and I edited the videos using Final Cut Pro X.
Examples include:
The History of Troost Avenue: Troost Avenue is a major street that runs north to south in Kansas City, Missouri. Historically, it has been a racial dividing line in the city.
Nell Donnelly Reed: Kansas City dress manufacturer and entrepreneur: Ellen “Nell” Donnelly Reed was a dress manufacturer and entrepreneur in Kansas City. In 1916, Reed wasn’t happy with how dresses looked so she started making her own.
Taste & See KC: J. C. Nichols Memorial Fountain: The J. C. Nichols Memorial Fountain is one of the most photographed fountains in Kansas City. But it wasn’t always located on the east corner of the Country Club Plaza.
Special Projects
I was the digital lead for several special projects on KSHB.com, such as the online coverage of the 2016 and 2018 Olympics. This included building special pages in the website’s CMS, ensuring all content followed NBC Olympics and International Olympic Committee guidelines, and sharing content across platforms.
I also collaborated with reporters to showcase larger feature stories online. This could include working with reporters for multiple weeks to edit digital stories and include additional audio and visual elements using HTML in the website’s CMS.
